INTERPRETATION CENTER OF GUADALAJARA

Área de actuación: zona norte del barranco del Alamín, antigua entrada a Guadalajara desde Madrid.

Zona desconsolidada y carente de conexión con los ámbitos urbanos que le rodean: el centro y la nueva zona residencial.

En ella se encuentran las ruinas del Álcazar, tratadas de forma que se encuentran infravaloradas.

La propuesta consiste en un centro de interpretación de Guadalajara.

El programa se ordena según tres acciones diferentes a desarrollar en él: Divulgación, Documentación e Investigación. Así el proyecto se organiza en tres cintas programáticas, dispuestas según su grado de privacidad, que se adaptan a la trama urbana existente, alineándose al frente de calle actual, y al terreno en pendiente, descendiendo por él con una geometría integrada.

Resultando un recorrido lineal articulado por dos vestíbulos que conectan las tres cintas programáticas, espacialmente potenciados mediante la visibilidad de las distintas alturas y sus conexiones.

Se plantea un espacio de transición entre el proyecto y las ruinas, ampliando la plaza actual, a la que se le suma la superficie ocupada actualmente por un uso militar. Este nuevo espacio urbano se resuelve con unas líneas acordes al proyecto, adaptándose al terreno con una serie de terrazas conectadas por rampas y escaleras, que comunican el centro con las ruinas, a través de una plaza mirador, además de facilitar la accesibilidad al paseo del río.

The proposal consists on an Interpretation Center of Guadalajara.
The program is ordered by three different actions to do in it: Divulgation, Documentation and Research. So the project is organized into three programatic strips, which are arranged depending on its grade of privacy and disposed in harmony with existing urban frame, lining with the front of the current road and the hillside, down by him with an integrated geometry.
So it results a linear path articulated by two entrances which connect the three programatic bands, spatially enhanced by visibility of different heights and their connections.

It is proposed a transitional space between the project and the ruins, extending the current square, to which is added the area currently occupied by a military use. This new urban space is solved in accordance with the rest of the project, adapting to the terrain with some terraces connected by ramps and stairs, that also connect the center with the ruins, through a viewer-square, and improves accessibility to Ride river.
